Replace Passive Voice with Active Voice
Don’t say: “You're so much loved by me.”
Say: “I love you.”
That’s active voice for you.
1. SaaS Example
Before (Passive Voice):
"User accounts were successfully upgraded to the premium plan."
After (Active Voice):
"We’ve upgraded your account to the premium plan."
Why it works: The active voice creates a sense of action and responsibility, making the SaaS company sound proactive and user-focused.
2. E-Commerce Example
Before (Passive Voice):
"Orders are processed within 24 hours."
After (Active Voice):
"We process your orders within 24 hours."
Why it works: The active version feels personal and emphasizes the brand’s commitment to quick service.
3. Business Example (e.g., Coffee Shop)
Before (Passive Voice):
"A free pastry is offered with every large coffee."
After (Active Voice):
"We’ll give you a free pastry with every large coffee."
Why it works: The active voice engages the reader directly, making the offer feel like a friendly gesture rather than a distant policy.
Passive voice makes your copy less engaging and harder to understand.
Active voice makes your writing clear and easy to read. It helps you write short sentences. And gets your point across.
